Did you know you & your kids can make your very own ice cream flavor?! 

At Sweet Wynns Sweet Kids Workshops, YOU CAN! These ice cream making workshops are kid-friendly, and you’re guided step by step through the ice cream making process. Lasting about an hour & half, these hands on workshop teach you about ice cream & its ingredients plus you get to mix & pour everything together to make your own ice cream flavor.

Sweet Wynns is located at 1209 East Main Street, Suite A, Richmond, VA.

When is Sweet Wynns open?

This RVA ice cream shop is open Friday from 6:30pm-9pm, Saturday from 10am-12pm & 2pm-4pm, and Sunday from 10am-12pm & 2pm-6pm.

It is closed Monday-Thursday.

Things to know about Sweet Wynns' Sweet Kids Workshops:

1. Workshops are on Saturdays & Sundays for an hour & 30m.

2. Street parking is available for free on weekends.

3. Classes cost $30.75 per child. If you sign up for emails or follow them on social, you’ll see discount codes regularly! If you book today, use the code "ICICLE" for $5 off your next workshop. This code ends Feb. 2, 2025.

6. The classes are suggested for kids 5 & older with a grownup. Depending on your child, you may be able to do it with children as young as three years old. We tried this for the first time when my daughter was 3.5 years old -- she handled the workshop so well, and I jumped in to help her when needed. This was a 1:1 ratio activity when my children were 5 and younger.

7. In our class, my kids were the youngest. We had a lot of elementary & middle school kids. 

8. When you arrive, you check in, get your own apron, create a name tag & wash your hands.

9. Each family has their own table with ingredients. If you’ve got big kids, they can follow the instructors directions on their own. If you’ve got little kids, you’ll be more involved. 

10. The ice cream takes ~1h to make. We played taste testing games with popular ice cream add ins. During our workshops, we also got to make our own hot chocolate, colored ice cream pictures & played tic tac toe. 

    
    

11. Each person gets to pick 2 add-ins for the personalized flavor. Since we had 2 tickets, we made 4 different flavors. 

12. You can eat your creation or take it home. 

13. They host birthday parties, private events & adult workshops too.
