Pool season to finally be here! I polled the West End Mom community to find your favorite family-friendly pools around #RichmondVA . Here are your recommendations for the best pools and clubs for families in the Richmond metro area!

1.ACAC Midlothian: This gym has fitness, tennis, pools & family events. The pool is zero entry, and it has a sun shade over a portion of the pool plus pool slides! There is also an indoor pool for year around fun.
2. American Family Fitness at Short Pump: Located behind Short Pump Town Center, this family fitness center has an indoor aquatic space with three pools: one for lap swimming, one for lesson, and one for children.
3. Ashland's Public Pool - Carter Park: This community pool does not require a membership to visit. It costs $5 on weekdays and $9 on weekends. The pool is open on weekends starting on May 29, and it opens daily starting on June 18. *This pool also has membership options.
4. Avalon: This Henrico club has two pools, a kiddie pool, a pool slide & basketball hoop. There's also tennis courts and a clubhouse with a snack bar.
5. Burkwood Swim & Racquet Club: Located in Mechanicsville, this recreation association has indoor & outdoor fitness, tennis and pools.
6. Canterbury Recreation Association: This Henrico recreation center has tennis courts and swimming pools. The pool has a diving board, slide, and a separate fenced baby pool. They also host movie nights, food trucks, and teen nights.
7. Chestnut Oaks: This recreation association has a pool, a children's pool and tennis courts. This pool is located off Parham Road in Henrico.
8. Church Run: This Henrico community recreation center has a pool and tennis courts.
9. Glen Allen Community Center: Located off Mountain Road, this community center has a large pool with two water slides, a baby pool, volleyball courts, and a snack bar.
10. Hanover Golf Club: Formerly known as Hanover Country Club, this club has golf, dining, swimming and tennis options. It's located in Ashland, and it offers year around social activities too. *The golf course has public tee-times or you can upgrade to a membership.
11. Hungary Creek Recreation Association: Located in Henrico, this recreation center has swimming pools, tennis & basketball courts, and sand volleyball. They also have a swim team and a dive team.
12. Lakeside Swim and Racquet Club: Located in Lakeside, this swim and racquet club has three pools, tennis courts, and a snack bar. They have an open house for prospective members on Sunday, May 15 from 3-5.
13. Lewis Ginter Recreation Center: Located in the historic Ginter Park neighborhood, Ginter Park Pool has three pools: an adult only pool, a main pool & a toddler wading pool. They also have family friendly movie nights & other events.
14. Kanawha: The Henrico recreation center has a pool and tennis courts. They offer water aerobics, and they host food trucks on Friday nights.
15. Pocahontas State Park's pool: Located in Chesterfield, Pocahontas State Park has a pool and aquatic center. It is open from 10am-7pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The pool has a baby pool, fountain wet deck, an activity pool, tub slides, and a 3-foot and 5-foot leisure pools. It costs $7-9 for children 3-12, and $8-10 for ages 13 and up to swim. Children 2 and under can swim for free. If you are camping at the park during the summer, you can visit the pool for free.
16. Raintree Swim and Racquet Club: This neighborhood club has year-round tennis, indoor and outdoor, and fitness, and the pool is open in the summer. This club is located near Deep Run Park in Henrico.
17. Richmond Country Club: Located in Goochland, this private club has dining, golf, tennis and swimming. The resort-style pool has gradual entry, splash pad and fountains.
18. Ridgetop: This Henrico recreation association has a swimming pool, a toddler pool, and tennis courts. They've also been hosting outdoor camps and clinics. This recreation center is located near The Village and The University of Richmond.
19. Salisbury Country Club: Located in Midlothian, this private club has golf, dining, an indoor and outdoor sports complex, and a pool. The aquatics area has a lap pool, beach style entry, and a pool for children 5 and under.
20. Settlers Landing Pool: Located in North Chesterfield, this community-run pool offers memberships to everyone -- you don't have to live in the neighborhood. It has a lap pool, baby pool, volleyball courts and family events.
21. Smoketree Pool: Located in North Chesterfield, this private facility has three pools, sand volleyball, dining, and a BBQ pit. It's open 7 days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Memberships are available to neighborhood residents and people living outside of the Smoketree neighborhood.
22. Southampton Recreation Association Pool: Located near Stratford Hills, this recreation association has two baby pools, a water slide, diving well and more!
23. The Dominion Club: Located in Wyndham, this country club has golf, tennis, swimming, dining and family events.
24. Three Chopt Recreation Club: This recreation center has tree large pools, diving boards, water slides, a gated kiddie pool, picnic pavilions, tennis courts, and volleyball courts.
25. Wembly: This pool has a family pool and a baby pool. This pool is located off of Gaskins Road in Henrico.
26. Westwood Club: Located near Willow Lawn in Henrico, this recently renovated club has dining, racket sports, fitness classes, a gated family pool and gated main pool. There are indoor and outdoor tennis courts and dining options.
27. Woodmont: Located in Bon Air, this recreation center has a pool, tennis courts, and family friendly events.
28. YMCA at Goochland: Located in Goochland, this YMCA has an outdoor pool. It also has a fitness center and child watch program.
29. YMCA at Shady Grove: Located near Twin Hickory, this YMCA has a heated, indoor pool. The aquatics area has a splash pad and water play features for little kids. There's also a playground, fitness center, camps, and child-watch program. It's one of the largest YMCAs in the Richmond metro area.
