Second Baptist Church's Palm Sunday Activities for Children

2BC Kids shared a few activities for children to celebrate Palm Sunday and to spend time with family.


1. A Palm Leaf: You can print this palm leaf and have your children decorate it. Children can wave the palms in celebration of Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem. The palm branches were spread at His feet, and they represent victory and triumph.




2. Cooking with Adam: Chef Adam and Katie will be making chocolate chip cookies on Facebook on Friday, April 3 at 2. Make sure you have these ingredients on hand and be ready to bake and chat with Chef Adam and Katie!


-3 cups (380 grams) all-purpose flour -1 teaspoon baking soda -1 teaspoon fine sea salt -2 sticks (227 grams) unsalted butter, at room temperature -1/2 cup (100 grams) granulated sugar -1 1/4 cups (247 grams) lightly packed light brown sugar -2 teaspoons vanilla -2 large eggs, at room temperature -2 cups (340 grams) semi sweet chocolate chips


3. Storytime with Katie: On Saturday, April 4, Katie will have story time LIVE on Facebook & Instagram. Join Katie for a few great children’s books she’ll be reading!




4. Sunday School: Mrs. Hallberg is teaching a Palm Sunday Preschool Lesson, and Mike and Ann Wren are teaching a Palm Sunday Elementary School Lesson on Facebook and Instagram. Sunday School videos will be posted on Facebook and Instagram at 9AM on Sunday, April 5.
